Make Time for Meaningful Connection – Not Only During the Festive Season

Do you still find time for meaningful connection?

As 2017 is coming to an end and we are getting ready for the festive season, do you find it astounding how fast time flew by over the past year?  And as the weeks sped by, did you think about the weeks or months since you have been able to connect and catch up with the people that matter to you in life and business?

I certainly know that I have not been able to connect and catch up with as many close friends and business connections over the past year as I would have liked to have done.

Meaningful Connection – Many Small Acts

Not sure if you can remember my dear friend Jimmy.  Jimmy is 89 and lives in an retirement village in the neighbourhood.  Still sweeping the leaves off the path, working in his garden and all too ready for a lovely chat early morning on life and love – but, never politics.

The small act of stopping and having a yarn with Jimmy allows an opportunity to connect in a world that can be incredibly lonely when you are old and alone in this world.

Five or ten minutes in the morning is all it takes. Many other people just walk past – not looking up to exchange a smile or a small good morning.

My reward?

In return I receive wisdom, encouragement and advice along the way.  Wonderful gems to treasure.

Jimmy is a meaningful connection.

Meaningful Connection – A Two Way Street

The word “connection” originates from the Latin word “connectere” and means to “bring together”.

Therefore connection and specifically meaningful connection will always be a two way street.

The intent to get together and to connect.

The festive season is a wonderful opportunity for people to connect and often reconnect.

It is also a good time to reconnect with who we want to be and what we want in life.

Our Wish for You this Festive Season

May your festive season be a great time to build meaningful connection, with yourself, your loved ones and your friends.

May 2018 be a year filled with balance, growth and success, both in life and in business.
